Chapter 2's up today. It's in the left hand column. If you click on River City Rumble-chpt. 1, a tag will come out for chapter 2, and you can click on that. And BTW, I added an image for Chpt. 1. Zanor's a vampire you never want to meet:) Enjoy!
I'm working on my third romance novel, but I've missed urban fantasy. So...I've decided to post chapters of a new Babet & Prosper every other week. I'll write it inbetween chapters of the romance. Hopefully. Either that, or I'll write like a mad woman for a few days to get chapters ahead so that I can post them. These might not be as polished as my regular writing. Just warning you. But the first chapter's ready to go, and I'm hoping to make this longer than usual. More like a short book. It just depends on how well I do flipping back and forth between books. Wish me luck!
The first chapter's in the left column. For now, I'm using the working title River City Rumble. I know. Cheesy, but it puts me in the mood. I'll come up with something better later. If you have any comments, I'd love to hear them. I thought I'd share the beginning of Voodoo and Panthers with you, just a nibble. Here goes:
Part 1 “Are you ready?” Babet raised her hands, palms out. Evangeline pushed her ebony hair behind her ears. “Show me what you’ve got.” Babet bit off a laugh. Someone was feeling pretty cocky, growing more comfortable with her witch skills. If her friend were in a real battle, there’d be no warning, but this was only a practice session, something to make the new witches in Mom’s coven stronger. Evangeline had plenty of power, though. The daughter of a cruel warlock, she’d inherited his raw magic when he died, but had little idea how to use it. Babet smiled a challenge. “Okay, hot stuff, here it comes.” She blasted white hot energy her way, then watched to see how she evaded it. Evangeline chanted a protection spell and a clear, invisible bubble circled her. Light glinted off of it, like the soap bubbles Babet used to make as a child. The shield saved her friend from a direct hit, but Babet put more oomph in this volley than the last ones. An explosion ripped the air. Sparks flew in all directions. The bubble bounced, with Evangeline inside it, and slammed into Mom’s privacy fence. “Hey!” Evangeline struggled to regain her balance. “This is just a lesson.” (From the Babet and Prosper Collection III. http://www.amazon.com/Babet-Prosper-Collection-III-Collections-ebook/dp/B016APGYB2/ref=sr_1_6?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1444499334&sr=1-6&keywords=judith+post) The Babet & Prosper Collection III is up!
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B016APGYB2 In Voodoo and Panthers, my new short novella, Prowl is a shape shifter who needs help. Evangeline is part voodoo princess and part witch, the perfect combination to come to his rescue. Hopefully, later this week, my third Babet and Prosper collection will go online. It will include: Demon Heart, Dark Dreams for Prosper, and A Penchant for Mortals. Those stories are online now, but will come down to be in the bundle. And I'm adding a new story: Voodoo and Panthers. I had a lot of fun writing that story--Prosper's pack leader, who shifts into a panther, finally meets his mate. I've included 4 lunch hour reads in each bundle I've done, and each bundle is 99 cents. This one will be, too. Michael Prete did the covers for me, as usual, and I love them! Here's the cover for the entire bundle. The lipstick kiss did it for me: And here's the cover (that will be inside) for the new Voodoo and Panthers. Prowl looks like he could be deadly, doesn't he?
