I belong to a writers' group, The Summit City Scribes. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. I always attended until I broke my leg on June 17th, and then my entire life revolved around physical therapy--every day for 3 months. Yes, when I do something, I do it well. I had a bad break, and it's taken FOREVER before the fractures healed, and I could put weight on my left leg again. Even longer before I felt secure enough to return to the real world. So this was the FIRST time I got to a meeting since June 17th, and lord, did I miss Scribes! I've listened to a lot of people, and I know that I'm lucky. Our group is rare. It's damned good, and I'm proud of it. And I'm so glad to be back! If you're a writer, I hope you find as good of critics as I have, and as much support. Happy writing! And if you're a reader, I hope you find writers that you love. I read the first chapter of my sixth romance today and got great feedback. It doesn't get much better than that. Except, I'm SO ready to use a cane instead of my walker. But I'll get there. On the book and on the leg:)
